High School Kid Develops Company and Invention

Last spring, while cleaning up the swamp behind my high school, a few kids discovered a laptop in the water that had apparently been abandoned. Just before they threw it in the dumpster I offered them $5.00, my lunch money, for it. They were happy to get $5.00 for a piece of trash but they still thought I was insane as I walked away with the mud encrusted, water logged laptop, and smile on my face. After thoroughly cleaning the computer, I sold it for $229.00 on EBay for parts. Until I actually received payment my parents thought that I was crazy. They were hoping that I would fail to sell the computer and instead go get an actual job. This was the first sale for my E-waste recycling company WillCorp. In the past year I have recycled and sold over 40 computers and other consumer electronics that would have otherwise been thrown away. So far, Willcorp has been a profitable venture for an 18 year old. The only reoccurring problem that I have run into is the lack of available computer systems. Although many people and companies have broken and unwanted laptops most people are afraid to donate their computers because they have personal information on the hard drives.
